I fell in love with YUKIE on my first playthrough and am thrilled to say the game is finally available in English! An Eternal Winter reigns over the land. Yukiji, a young warrior is determined to end this and avenge his forefathers by slaying the beautiful demon Yukie. A traditional fairytale that seems like it could have just popped out of Japanese folklore. But what makes YUKIE stand out to me among narrative-based games is how well the sum of its parts – such as the art, musical score and writing – fit together so well as a whole, to create the captivating atmosphere of Yukie’s cursed yet beautiful winterland.Apart from the text playing a major role in any story game, it was important for us to preserve the poetic phrasing and classic writing style of the tale. For this we enlisted the help of Timothy Borreson who took great care to keep the essence of the original Japanese text. He has worked on titles such as Brave Frontier, Armored Hunter Gunhound EX, Artifact Adventure and its upcoming sequel Artifact Adventure Gaiden. On their path to revenge the player will encounter wolves, crows and legendary beasts that are hostile towards Yukiji and will have to fight their way out of these situations. To attack or defend, the key must be pressed the exact moment they hear the enemy approaching. Yukiji will also gain new powers along his journey, to help him in and out of the field.Thank you for reading and I hope you enjoy playing! 1075eedd30 Title: Yukie: A Japanese Winter Fairy TaleGenre: Adventure, IndieDeveloper:ImCyanPublisher:AGM PLAYISMFranchise:PLAYISMRelease Date: 14 Jul, 2017 Yukie: A Japanese Winter Fairy Tale Activation Code [hack] yukie a japanese winter fairy tale A unique experience for sure. The combat is unlike any I have ever experienced before. It has a good story too with some cool twists and turnus.. I can't say I didn't like the game at all but I don't feel recommending it. I liked the graphics, the fact that it was only 3 hours long(i like when games go straight to the point without hundreads of useless sidequests), the Japanese voices and the general idea but I found the game to be a little bit tedious sometimes. The narration was cool but the english subtitles were poor and were sliding TOO FAST. I had to go to the menu and read everything again everytime to understand the story. The gameplay was a sort of point and click with some arrow keys involved during fights. Those arrow keys were not responsive. Tried with both controller and keyboard and I found difficult to complete the final chapters.. After I got the 3rd's sword, I acquired the power to defend or reflect attacks. But while I was trying to defeat the dragon, I found out that I cannot defeat it with agressive attacks, so I tried using defensive attacks but I found out that it wouldn't work. Due to this, I cannot advance in game. I do hope that the developers will look into this.. I have yet to finish this game.Cons:-In order to exit the game I have to turn off my computer. ((Big con and discouragement))-Game gets too hard during the later stages.Pros:-Beautiful artwork-Great story. This small piece of art is immersive in extreme. The story, the gameplay, the graphics, the sound - everything is coherent here, no random elements.By all means try it - it's outstanding in its simplicity.. A beautifully artistic interactive visual novel of love, a curse, honor and revenge. The story unfolded slowly, but was paced well with Yukiji's cold slow trudge through the snow as we understood his past and he understood himself. Sometimes the subtitles faded a little too quickly, but I still could read them easily and I appreciated the Japanese voice acting. The battles were a little tricky with the timing of attack and defense - I was glad I took the time to level up a bit before going into more difficult ending sections so I didn't die if I mis-timed a click (even though I saved often).I enjoyed playing this very much and definitely would recommend if you enjoy folktales.
